Day 6 03/06/16

This was my last day in Guanajuato and I wanted to see the things I wasn't able to see last times. I left the house with no food in my stomach. When I got there I went to a restaurant name El Midi Bistro. The food was delicious and it was cheap. I was recommended to go to Mercado Hidalgo, there was all kinds of Mexican and native crafts. I couldn't stop seeing and buying little things They were so creative and colorful. Then, I was once more and find a little place to eat downtown. I went directly still eating a burrito to Laze at Jardin Union because I was going short of time and I wanted to see it so badly. I stayed there only about half an hour and then left to went back to the airport to take a flight. I was in a rush because I needed to buy a ticket and wait for my brother to pick up his car. I changed into more comfortable clothes and when my brother finally came gave him the keys and say good bye. I run to get to the plane and when I was finally in the plane I was getting mentally prepared to spend all night there to get to Hawaii.

Day 5 03/05/16

Last night I had a so nice sleep that today I had all my energy charged a 100%, ready to discover more of Mexicans' beauties. I left the house early to get on the time when "El Callejón del Beso" isn't that crowded. El Callejón del Beso is a story that the towns tells about 2 people fallen in love, and their balconies were right next to each other's. Their parents didn't wanted them to be together and the balcony was the only place were they could see each other. The balcony is called El Callejón del Beso because there was their first kiss and it was the thing to connected their love. Many people go with their couple to have a kiss in the balcony, that's why it gets so crowded. It is one of the most popular turist attractions. I was just right about the hour that it wouldn't be too much people. Guanajuato was a colonial city in the 18th century and it still has it's colonial touch. People sell all kinds of stuff there, that is of the reasons I like Guanajuato a lot. So saw many colonial stores and bought 1-3 recordation gift for my parents. Then, I started to get hungry and I asked some locals which was a very good restaurant and all told me to go to the "Puente Campanero". The place was very unique. The tables were on top a bridge that crossed a street and I could hear and see everything. I continue walking around town and even went downtown to get to know Guanajuato. My brother surprised me and went a little time to Guanajuato to spend tie with me. When he was there, we passed the Guanajuato University and started arguing of who could go up all the stairs of the university faster. Of course, we end up racing to the top and as you can imagen I won. We went inside and saw it for a while and then went downstairs. Finally, we decided to go back to the house and make some Quesadillas or something for dinner.

Day 4 03/04/16

I woke up at 7 a.m. and went directly to eat something  to Carl's Junior.  I wanted to relax to be prepared to travel some hours more. I had my ticket, I already had breakfast, I had snacks and everything was just perfect, all I needed to do was wait until my bus arrived. It finally arrived and went directly to the bus, I wanted to be the first one so I hurry. Impressively, 3 hours passed really fast. I got there so excited and hug my brother so hard. Before he knew it, I took his car and went directly to Guanajuato. In 45 mins. or less I was already there, and the first thing I wanted to do was go to Diego rivera house.  He was a very talented artist in Mexico and I was obligated to go to his house. Obviously, I was tired, but I want to do as muchas I could on that day to waste no time. I spend hours and hours admiring the house. I couldn't stop seeing all the art work and I wanted to get to know it absolutely all of it. When I couldn't stand anymore I decided to leave Guanajuato and go back. On the way back I was so tired that I had music so high that you could hear it outside the car. I got to his house and lied down and once I closed my eyes I just could not open them, and easy as that I fell asleep.

Day 3 03/03/16

Yesterday was my last day in the cabin, but completely in town but today I spend it traveling. I already had all my stuff with me and I payed a friend of my friend to take me to San Cristobal. I was using comfortable clothe for a long trip that expected me. Before we left I was starving, so we went to a small restaurant and eat something. When we got there I was rushing to get to a bus to Puebla city on time. I got in the bus as quickly as I could that I didn't felt that I say goodbye properly to my friends. I spend hours and hours in that bus. I even made friends in the bus and we talk so much that at the end there was no more things to talk about. After a million years we got there I was finally in Puebla and I went directly to by a ticket to Leon, Guanajuato and there wasn't any left, at least not at that hour. I had to sleep in the bus station! It wasn't I had never done before, but the station was so cold and u was only wearing jeans and a normal t-shirt. I was so lasy to take out a jacket as disorganized my hole bag that I only covered my self with my arms. There wasn't as many places to eat and the ones that were there we good enough. It was the longest night of my life.

Day 2 03/02/16

Breakfast as always smelled wonderful and it tasted mmmm... Just so good.  This time I decided not to shower in morning because I was going horse-back riding and I was going to get dirty. We left in the morning and the weather wasn't as hot as it was in the afternoon. The sun was quite strong but the breeze was refreshing. My horse's name was Juanito and he was one of the smallest, but really that horse eats like a horse twice his size.  Also, he was quite fast and I had an awesome time passing everybody and in the end we went galloping. It was really hard because you had put your legs really strong and no jump at all. When we went back Juanito was so tired that he only passed 7 horses. On the way back to the cabin it started to get hotter. As soon as I got there I took a cold long shower, which I really needed. Then in the cabin's table there was "pozole", one of the most delicious things I've ever tried in my life. We set off to the Palenque national park. There we saw Mayan pyramids and it was a very important Mayan city name "Lakamha". The view from on top of the pyramids was explicit and I could see all the landscapes. We went to ritual plazas and at least 3 pyramids. Time seemed to passed like a flash even though we had time to pretty much everything. We went back and we took a tent and something's to eat. We decided to discover the waterfalls at night. The moon's reflection in the light blue waters was breathtaking because it was almost like a mirror. We went and swim a little more and we put a tent beside the waterfalls. We stayed there the night.

Day 1

Sence the day began it was just beautiful. The sun was shining and the breeze smelled like fresh coffee. I was finally in Chiapas, the most cultural and environmental place in Mexico. The cabin were I was staying was small but it had a very aromatic wood smell. I woke up at 6 a.m. and eat something in the cabin. Then I decided I needed wake up completely so I took a shower. When I less expected it, it was 7:30 a.m. and I wanted to leave as soon as I could to the blue waterfalls. Tons of people have talk to me about this place and they say it's the malt gorgeous and amazing place they have ever been. It sound wonderful , so I've always wanted to come. I left the cabin at 8 and went directly to the blue waterfalls. I was using some shorts, special hiking boots, a t-shirt that was very light just perfect for the hot temperature, and a bikini under my clothe for the waterfalls. Even though the only way to get there wasn't that pretty or nice it was all worth it. Obviously I need to organize well my money so went walking and it wasn't the shortest way to get there but when I finally get there, the blue waters were just amazing! I drop my backpack and took of my clothe (with a swimsuit under) and run as fast as I could to jump to the waterfalls. The water's temperature was just great because the weather was so hot and it just really refreshed me. . After spending at least 2 hours in the light blu colorful waterfalls I had to go back to the cabin to eat something. I didn't really wanted to go back but my stomach couldn't wait more. I needed time to relax and at 2 I was ready to go on the adventure once more. We set off to San Cristobal and walk around the different cultural places. There were so many stores with many "indígenas'" things. I bought a necklace and a bracelet for my mother. After going from store to store we decided we had to go back. This time the road trip seemed to pass faster and when we got the cabin it was 1 a.m. I honestly think San Cristobal  is one of my favorite towns in Mexico.

This is My First Post

The Passport Project consists in that we are going to be traveling all around North America. In the project we get to know countries and very unique cities. Every day we need to describe what we did and how we spend our money. All of us have to go to environmental, cultural and historical places in North America so, we can learn about every country's traditions.
